The video tape formats we can transfer are VHS, VHS-C, Super VHS[S-VHS], 8mm, Hi-8, PAL-VHS and PAL-VHS-C & BETA (Mono not Hi-Fi).

Transfer Methods: There are two different methods for transfering video to DVD. Finished and RAW. Basically, Finished DVDs are ready to play in any commerical device. RAW DVDs are MP4 video files that can be played on computers and some, but not all, commercial players. The advantage of RAW is that YOU can load the files into your computer and edit them before YOU finish the DVD for a regular player. ** This requires the necessary software to the installed on your computer.

Pricing for tape transfers is based on total order time regardless of the number of tapes.

For DVDs, the minimum price is $39.95 which includes the first 2 hours of video. Additional video is charged at the rate of $0.33 per minute.

Video tapes come in many lengths and can be recorded at different speeds to gain extra time so it is impossible for us to know how much a tape transfer will cost until we have scanned it. We can give an estimate before the work begins but, the estimate is often higher than the finished order as the fast scan we use to determine the time does not differentiate between wanted (home video) or unwanted (recorded tv & movies) which we automatically exclude unless instructed otherwise.

Please specify if the the DVD for a Player or for Computer as MP4 files. (They are NOT the same!)

If you would like BOTH. The raw data can be burned to DVD as MP4 file for $10.00 per disc required.

Editing: We do not offer custom video editing as part of our service. However, if you are able to view the video tapes at home and provide "Time Markers" for the segment or segments you want to include, we will extract only those segments and produce the DVD using only those segments.

Extra copies of any transfer type are $10.00 per DVD required, or $20 per 16gb Flash Drive required.
